Andrea is an experimental biophysicist and mechanobiologist interested in the mechanics of
transforming systems, cell migration, and the collective dynamics of biological systems. He
obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Physiology and Medical Physics (Medical University
of Innsbruck, Austria) and did his postdoctoral training at the Mechanobiology Institute of
Singapore and the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART, Singapore).
Andrea is also very passionate about cooking and baking. Original Italian pizza, schweinebraten
with spaetzle and tom yum soup are his pride.
